I found Tessa's book extremely interesting (and entertaining), as it does point out much that is otherwise not obvious to a touristic eye. The accommodations were the best of our two week visit. Tessa and Martin are most gracious hosts. And we loved the adorable, well-mannered dachshunds!

Kerry, USA writes: This get-away spot lived up to its website billing and more. It had all the little things and finishing touches you don't get even at 5 star resorts. The rooms were very comfortable, felt like home not a hotel.The pool and the patio areas have views that are second to none. We absolutely adored the four dachshunds running up and greeting us.The hosts were very caring. And finally the surrounding towns are the real Costa Rica, not tourist traps. The weather was a real relief too after the sweltering temperatures we experienced at Jaco and Manuel Antonio.
